Introduction to metal alloys tests
Metal alloys are the result of a homogeneous mixture of two or more elements, where the metal is always present in a higher percentage in order to enhance the performances. These materials maintain the distinctive properties of metals: malleability, high electrical and thermal conductivity.
Tests on metal alloys are carried out by Tecnolab del Lago Maggiore Srl to verify the material, so that the customer should have confirmation through our testing that it is actually the right alloy type.
Determination of chemical composition
Analysis by the emission spectrometer arranged for steels, iron alloys, brass, bronze and aluminium pure or in alloy and verification in accordance with UNI, EN and ASTM standards.
Hardness Rockwell scale
Steels, brass and alloys hardness – maximum applicable load 150 kgf.
Micro Vickers hardness
Hardness measures in accordance with EN ISO 6507-1 – Metallic materials
